Dog Grate
The grate in the Lodge Room fireplace was presented to the Lodge by Bro. Thomas Kershaw Bonnar during the 1923–25 alterations. The whole fireplace was designed by Bro. Thomas McCrea and the ironwork was wrought by Bro. Thomas Bogie, P.M. of the Lodge of Journeymen Masons, No. 8. The marks of the following brethren are shown on the feet of the grate legs:

The R.W.M., Bro. Andrew Wilson presented the hearthstone. His mark was chiselled across it, and must be the largest mark in the building.
